With patchy salt-and-pepper hair (that’s becoming patchier by the day) and a penchant for red lipstick, I’ve toned down my wardrobe color palette. White t-shirts are a big help. Wear them with suits. Wear them with jeans. Wear them with nothing (I kid, I kid…somewhat).
One problem is that they may start looking ratty after a season of wash and wear. I’ve restocked for this year with some nice white ones from Zara. They’re made from something called Lyocell. I have no clue what that is, but the fabric is soft and elegant. These go great with suits.
J Crew’s vintage cotton v-neck tee isn’t bad either. And it looks long enough to do that tuck-my-shirt-in-the-front-of-my-pants thing. If that’s your thing.
Cos’ clean-edged t-shirt is a prospect too.

And just for the memories, I must include something from the Arizona line at JC Penney. I’m never one to turn my nose up at a deal.
